Fed: Climate change urgent for COAG meeting - Labor

The federal opposition says today's Council of Australian Governments meeting is an
opportunity to take strong and united action on climate change.

Labor's environment spokesman ANTHONY ALBANESE welcomes plans to discuss smart meters
for electricity efficiency savings.

But he says there should be a national emissions trading system.
